Hamlin Township Fire Department is a on-call VOLUNTEER Fire Department. The Township is very proud to have such a hard-working, dedicated Fire Department.

In December 2008, the Hamlin Township Fire Department received $32,169.00 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Department of Homeland Security to purchase five new Air-Pak’s, Charging System, Pak-Tracker Hand Held Receiver and Carbon Cylinders.

In August 2007, the Hamlin Township Fire Department received $30,685.00 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Department of Homeland Security to purchase 16 new sets of firefighter personal protective equipment and a thermal imaging camera.

Firefighters are the first line of defense in our communities and the Hamlin Township Board of Trustees helps to provide them with the equipment necessary to carry out their jobs. Upgrades will better ensure the safety of our local firefighters as they volunteer to protect lives and property in Hamlin Township.
